Bid Advertisement

Sealed Bids are requested by the Harrison Township Water Authority, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, until 2:30 P.M., (prevailing time) on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the office of the Authority Manager, 11 Acee Drive, Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania 15065, for furnishing various chemicals for its Water Treatment Plant. Bids will be publicly opened at 2:30 P.M. (prevailing time) on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the same location.

Copies of the Bid Documents may be examined at the office of the Harrison Township Water Authority, 11 Acee Drive, Natrona Heights, PA 15065. Copies thereof may be obtained from the office of the Engineer (NIRA) without charge. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided and completed in strict accordance with the instructions provided. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, in the form of a Certified Check or Corporate Surety Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid Proposal made in the favor of the Harrison Township Water Authority.

A Performance Bond, in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, will be required of the successful Bidder.

No Bid or any part thereof shall be withdrawn by Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the Bid Opening.

The right is reserved by the undersigned to reject any and/or all Bids, totally or in part, or to waive informalities in any Bid.

Project Scope

Harrison Township Water Authority is soliciting proposals for furnishing various chemicals for its water treatment plant.

1.	Potassium Permanganate delivered in 330 lb. Drums in shipments of 4 or more.
2.	Liquid Chlorine delivered in 150 lb. cylinders in shipments of 8 cylinders.
3.	Hydrofluorosilicic Acid delivered in 55 gal. drums in shipments of 8 drums.
4.	Powdered Activated Carbon delivered in 50 lb. bags in shipments of 40 bags.
5.	Liquid Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) delivered in bulk shipments of 4,000 gallons minimum. Wet weight (lbs.) will be used as Bid basis.
6.	Coagulant – Cold Temperature delivered in bulk shipments of 40,000 lbs.
