The Municipal Authority of the Township of Robinson replaced five (5) filters at their Groveton Water Treatment Plant.  The existing filter backwash agitator system was replaced with a concurrent air/water backwash underdrain system.  The filter replacements included the installation of blowers to supply the new backwash system, replacement of filter media, replacement of filter control consoles, replacement of miscellaneous control valves, and replacement of turbidity meters, loss of head meters, and flow meters for each filter.  Also included in this work was the replacement of the existing chlorine gas system with a sodium hypochlorite system.
