Ambridge Water Authority installed six (6) auxiliary generators at the water treatment plant and five (5) booster stations to meet the requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Uninterrupted System Service Plan.  An auxiliary generator and automatic transfer switch were installed at each location to provide backup power when utility power is not available.  Status signals and alarms for the generators and transfer switches at each location were incorporated into the SCADA system at the water treatment plant.
